We’re David and Sarah. Both of us have a background in computer science and experience working in research and product in startups as well as big tech companies. What is Strebergarten?

Strebergarten (literally “nerd garden”) is where we share the things we try and build. We live in a prototype, constantly tinkering, and we’ve realized that what feels normal to us is actually pretty unusual (at least since moving away from San Francisco.) Friends and family kept asking about the things we build and use for years, so we finally decided to share our explorations with a wider community.

We loved the garden metaphor because we want this to be a space where diverse ideas can be sown. Some might grow, many will just be for learning. We’re here to nurture our own curiosity just as much as those of fellow tinkerers.

What to expect

Lots of gadgets, those we build and those we test. Explorations of how emerging tech fits into everyday life. Lots of experiments. Occasional art. Things that work, things that don’t, and everything we learn along the way.
